On Friday, June 8, The Network hosted their third annual Summer Fest, presented in cooperation with the City of Springfield.
This year’s theme was inspired by the flower child dreams of the 60s and 70s, including a VW photo booth bus and flower truck. With more than 200 in attendance, Springfield young professionals were able to enjoy special drinks like Hippie Juice and Afterglow Lemonade, as well as Groovy Bulgogi Tacos, Hippie Burgers and Bohemian Bowls. The vibe of the party was set by the groovy, folk-style music of local band Izabel Crane.
The highlight of the evening was the debut of the Network’s new video focused on talent retention! It’s all about what it’s like to be a YP in Springfield – and we might be biased, but we think it’s a pretty accurate depiction of our amazing and YP-supporting community. The Chamber has been working on this project for the past six months with local video company Locke + Stache, and were grateful to have many wonderful young professionals be a part of the filming.
If you missed the debut, have no fear! We are excited to share this with the greater community, and show your friends why Springfield is THE place to be for YPs!
And of course, we can’t forget our wonderful sponsors who made this event possible. So thank you for your support!
