February Spotlight: James Financial Partners

James Financial Partners is a full-service, independent Financial Planning firm. For nearly 20 years, James Financial Partners (JFP) has been helping businesses and individuals realize financial success. JFP’s independence allows them to take a client-centered approach focusing on the unique issues of each individual client. As a result, the client’s best interest is always most important, rather than a corporate agenda. JFP was created for one sole reason—to work for the client, not for the company.

JFP is able to offer high quality advice and award-winning technology through their registration with Woodbury Financial Services (WFS). Woodbury Financial Services serves as the compliance management and support team for JFP. WFS does not manufacture or sell any financial products therefore eliminating any potential conflict of interest and/or agenda for selling products. JFP’s comprehensive Financial Planning approach allows them to consult and advise on multiple areas of their clients’ financial lives. Examples of these areas of specialty are Estate Planning, Retirement Planning, Investment Management, Insurance Planning, Education Planning, Cash Flow Management and Tax Management. The comprehensive process of evaluating how each of these topics affect each other and determining what management strategies need to be implemented to monitor each topic is what makes JFP’s Financial Planning process unique. Advice and recommendations provided by JFP’s professionals consider all financial aspects, rather than just a few.

JFP’s team is comprised of six professionals. The founder of the company, Tyler James, currently works as the President and one of the Financial Planners of the firm. Tyler has been the recipient of multiple awards during his career. Some of these awards include the Springfield Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award in 2008, the Men of the Year award in 2016 and the Trusted Advisor award in 2018.

Stacey James joined JFP in 2010 and currently works as the Vice President/Director of Operations of the firm. Stacey has been the recipient of multiple awards during her career. Some of these awards include the Springfield Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award in 2015 and Most Influential Women award in 2018.

Abigail James-O’Quinn joined JFP in 2011 and currently works as a Financial Planner with the firm.

Mike Nangle joined JFP in 2018 and currently works as a Financial Planner with the firm. Mike works out of JFP’s second location in Branson, MO.

Lauren McCluskey joined JFP in 2019 and currently works as an office assistant.

James Financial Partners is honored to be the recipient of the Springfield News-Leader’s Best of the Ozarks Award under the Financial Services category for three consecutive years in 2013, 2014, and 2015. JFP is also honored to be a part of “Springfield’s Best.” Community service and involvement is also a pillar of importance to JFP as a firm. JFP’s professionals currently volunteer their time and abilities at organizations such as Harmony House, the Logan Rogersville Education Foundation, The Ozarks Literacy Council, Junior League of Springfield and the Branson/Hollister Rotary Club.
